Toothbrushes

Toothbrushes

We recommend you use any soft-bristled toothbrush which has even length bristles.  Straight handle or right-angled handle is
a matter of personal preference.

If the brush is too large, it will not reach the more difficult-to-brush areas.  As a guide, a Size 35 brush is suited to most adult mouths.

End-tufted brushes have a tiny head which enables you to reach particularly difficult spots, or to clean in and around braces.

The recommended size selection for the Oral B range of toothbrushes, for example, is:

Oral B Size 40 Large Adult
Oral B Size 35 Adult
Oral B  Size 20 Child

The Oral B range also includes right-angled handle and end-tufted brushes

Your toothbrush needs replacing when the bristles begin to splay or become “shaggy”.
